#3 - Savoring Filipino Flavors in Barcelona: Kasarap, Dayami, and L'ube KAPE
On a recent trip to Barcelona, a city renowned for its culinary diversity, I embarked on a delightful exploration of Filipino cuisine. This journey led me to three unique establishments: Dayami for a vibrant brunch experience, L'ube KAPE for an afternoon of Ube-infused delights and Kasarap for an exquisite dinner.
Dayami Brunch & Coffee: A Brunch with Filipino Flair
My first stop was Dayami Brunch & Coffee, a cozy brunch place with a variety of authentic filipino food. I loved their classic brunch items with Filipino flavors, especially their heir 'Longsilog' - a combination of longganisa (Filipino sausage), sinangag (garlic rice), and itlog (egg) - a delightful twist on the traditional breakfast.

(Btw they also offer Karaoke)
L'ube KAPE: Ube Indulgences
No Filipino culinary tour is complete without indulging in ube, the purple yam that's a staple in Filipino desserts. L'ube KAPE, a quaint café, offered just that.
At L'ube KAPE, the humble ube was transformed into an array of pastries and beverages. The 'Ube Latte' was a refreshing and unique coffee experience, complemented exquisitely by their sweet ube cake.
This cafe is a must-visit for anyone with a penchant for unique flavors.

Kasarap: A Memorable Dinner
In the bustling heart of Barcelona, Kasarap is more than a restaurant; it's a slice of Manila. The ambiance instantly transports you to the lively streets of the Philippines. The menu, blending traditional Filipino flavors with innovative twists, caters to all tastes. The highlight was the 'Sinigang', my comfort food brought to life with tangy tamarind, fresh vegetables, and tender pork, served alongside fragrant jasmine rice. Each dish, charmingly presented in cute, eye-catching tableware, adds to the experience.
Don’t miss their sari-sari store section, where you can pick up beloved Filipino snacks to bring a taste of the Philippines back home. Kasarap is truly a gem for those seeking authentic Filipino cuisine in Barcelona.
